Gladiator Technologies Announces Production Release of New Ultra Low Noise LandMark™ 40 MEMS IMU and Vertical Gyro

August 17, 2011 – Gladiator Technologies announced today production release of their newest and highest performance IMU, the low noise LandMark™ 40 Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and Vertical Gyro (VG). This new IMU builds upon the successful heritage of the company's low noise "LN Series" IMU product families, including the economy-class LandMark™ 10, the mid-performance LandMark™ 20, one cubic inch LandMark™ 21 and the high performance LandMark™ 30 product families. This new IMU is form, fit and function compatible with both the LandMark™ 10 and 20 IMU's at just 4.4 cubic inches in size, yet offers substantial improvement in performance with both lower noise and higher performance MEMS gyros and accelerometers.

Ultra Low Noise LMRK40 IMU & VG

All the LandMark™ IMU's share a common IMU messaging protocol for a "common cockpit" approach enabling users the option to choose the IMU performance, size, weight and price that best suits their application and market without having to rewrite any IMU interface software. This latest addition to our family of IMU's offers best-in-class gyro noise while including the other feature-rich advantages of its predecessor IMU's. The LandMark™ 40 features Finite Element Analysis (FEA) designed internal vibration isolation and robust environmental sealing for EMI protection as well as data rates up to 500Hz enabling exceptional performance for a variety of size and weight constrained applications. The LandMark™ 40 IMU has many advanced performance features including:
