Announces New One Cubic Inch LandMark™ 21 IMU and Vertical Gyro

December 2, 2010 – Gladiator Technologies announced today production release of their smallest IMU, the one cubic inch LandMark™ 21 IMU. This ultra small inertial measurement unit is also available as a Vertical Gyro (VG). The new IMU builds upon the successful heritage of the company's low noise "LN Series" IMU product families, including the economy-class LandMark™ 10, the mid-performance LandMark™ 20 and the high performance tactical grade LandMark™30 product families. The gyro performance of the ultra small LandMark™ 21 equals that of the mid-performance LandMark™ 20 IMU, yet offers a size reduction 4 times less as well as 2 times lower weight. Like all of the LandMark™ IMU's, it shares a common IMU messaging protocol for a "common cockpit" approach enabling users the option to choose the IMU performance and price that best suits their application and market without having to rewrite any IMU interface software. At just one cubic inch in size and a weight of 55 grams, the LandMark™ 21 features Finite Element Analysis (FEA) designed internal vibration isolation and robust environmental sealing for EMI protection as well as data rates up to 500Hz enabling exceptional performance for a variety of size and weight constrained applications. Ultra Small LandMark™ 21 IMU and VG |
Gladiator Technologies' popular "LN Series" (Low Noise) inertial technology features a family of low noise gyros, accelerometers and inertial system products that are available in various performance ranges. The "LN Series" ARW gyro noise on the LandMark™ 21 is available as low as 0.01°/sec/√Hz with bandwidth of 500Hz.
